Vinita Nair
In July of 2004, she joined the station covering a number of stories. These included an investigation into the killing of Jon Benet Ramsey and the shootings that occurred in Bailey, Colorado. Nair became a part of ABC News as an anchor/correspondent for ABC News Now in December 2007. She was in charge of anchoring live news coverage as well as briefings on ABC's online networks. Nair worked as a co-anchor on World News Now, America This Morning and ABC's digital networks beginning on September 17th of 2008 to February 18, 2011. On both shows, she worked initially in partnership by Jeremy Hubbard. Later she co-anchored the show with Rob Nelson. On Thursday, February 17, 2011, Nair announced that Friday, the 18th of February, would be her final night of air at World News Now. Her final day with ABC News would be Friday the 18th of February. Former KDVR Denver anchor Peggy Bunker was her successor immediately. World News Now, February 18 included three tributes to Nair. The former and present colleagues also appeared in the segments. The morning she left was when Nair treated her staff to a delectable breakfast.
